Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra is passionate about the power of orchestral music and the impact it has in live performance.
Led by Artistic Director Norman Reintamm in his final season with Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra, we will bring to life some of the
greatest musical masterpieces, including favourite works by Beethoven, Brahms, Gershwin, and Mahler, and we will introduce you to some of
Canada’s rising stars including pianist Lauren Esch and violinist Eva Lesage.
We also look forward to new collaborations with Iranian-Canadian classical guitarist Bahar Ossareh and Odawa First Nations composer Barbara Croall. This season will also feature the finals of the biennial Clifford Poole Vocal Competition – showcasing talented young singers.
In addition to celebrating the many contributions of Maestro Reintamm to Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra during his tenure, we would like your help selecting a new Music Director. We are very excited to introduce guest conductors for four concerts this season – Oliver Balaburski, Pratik Gandhi, Rafael Luz and Martin MacDonald – each of whom is a finalist in our search for a new Music Director. Subscribers will be given the opportunity to provide feedback after each of these concerts. Please join us in this important step forward for your orchestra.
