Summa Cum Laude competition
The Canadian Children’s Opera Company, conducted by Ann Cooper Gay, Artistic and Executive Director, will perform excerpts from several children’s opera including Michael Patrick Albano & Errol Gay’s Finale from Alice in Wonderland, Dean Burry’s “Far Over the Misty Mountains” from The Hobbit, and Albano & Gay’s Medley from A Dickens of a Christmas.
Cathedral Bluffs’ Artistic Director, Norman Reintamm, will conduct Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 2 in E-flat Major, K. 417, featuring soloist Samir Abd-Elmessih, Principal Horn with the Cathedral Bluffs.

The program also includes the immensely popular Carol Symphony by Victor Hely-Hutchinson, a four-movement work based on Christmas carols. Students from the Beaches Suzuki School of Music will perform a selection of traditional holiday favourites with the orchestra.
